Parliament passes condolence proposal on Ojha's death

KATHMANDU, SEP 26 -
The Legislature-Parliament has passed a proposal, condoling the demise of then member of the House of Representatives, Siddharaj Ojha . He had passed away on Thursday evening.
The parliament meeting was put off after passing the proposal.
Speaker Nembang read out the proposal that the meeting was shocked over
the death of Ojha, who was elected a member of the House of
Representatives from the Nepali Congress party through the general
elections of 2048, 2051 and 2056BS. He was from Doti district.
The meeting wished eternal peace to the departed soul and extended condolences to the bereaved family members.
The next meeting of the parliament would be held on Sunday at 4:00pm.
NC President, Acting President grieved
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sushil Koirala expressed deep grief over the passing away of leader Ojha.
Issuing a press release on Friday, President Koirala said the role of
the leader Ojha to establish and restore democracy in the country was
incomparable and his contribution to the party organization will be
remembered forever.
"At this sad moment, I wish eternal peace to the departed soul and
extend condolences to members of the bereaved family," states the press
release.
Similarly, NC Acting President Ram Chandra Poudel has said he has been
shocked at news of the demise of former central member of the party, and
former minister Ojha.
He also remembered the late leader Ojha's contribution in the party, saying it was unmatchable one.
Jha breathed his last while undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital in the capital city.
The last rites of Ojha were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday.
His mortal remains were consigned to flames by his son Paras Ojha.
Earlier, the body was kept at the party headquarters from 10am to 12pm
for those wishing to pay their final tributes to late Ojha.
Acting President Poudel draped Ojha's body with the party flag.
Ojha, who was born at Gadsera VDC-6 of Doti district in Magh 1, 2001BS,
was suffering from diabetes and kidney and heart diseases.
